On Sunday, July 13, the monthly Children’s Cafeteria event was held at Café Giverny in Mihara Garden.
This month, under the bright summer sun, the children participated in an engaging and educational “Photography Workshop” filled with learning and fun.
[Attendance]
Children: 8 (ages 4 to 15)
Guardians: 2
Volunteers: 4
[Activities]
・Photography Workshop (Volunteer-led)
As part of this month’s recreation program, a volunteer photographer hosted a hands-on workshop. The children learned about composition and lighting, and experienced the joy of capturing the world through their own unique perspectives.
・FIH Children’s Farm Maintenance
Due to the ongoing extreme heat in the Kyushu/Nagasaki region since July, we have temporarily suspended farm activities for children until around September to ensure their health and safety.
[Meal Gathering]
The meal of the day featured summer vegetable curry, corn soup, and watermelon for dessert. This refreshing, seasonal menu was a big hit with the children, who enjoyed it with happy smiles.
A place where food and play nurture children’s growth and community connections.
Our next Children’s Cafeteria will be held on Thursday, August 7, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in celebration of “Flower Day” . We look forward to welcoming you!
