At Food Innovators Holdings Limited, we support children’s cafeteria (kodomo shokudo) activities as part of our contribution to local communities. We have received a report from Nagasaki Machizukuri Project Co., Ltd. regarding the Mihara Garden Children’s Cafeteria held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 (Reiwa 8), and are pleased to share how the day unfolded.
Under the strengthening summer sun, the gathering unfolded in a relaxed atmosphere beneath the shade sails stretched across the garden, accompanied by cooling summer fare such as flowing somen noodles and shaved ice.

■Activities on the Day
【Activity 1: Board Games and the Garden Footrace】
The day began with board games around the table. Children of different ages leaned in over a single board, and adults joined in as well, playing with equal parts concentration and delight. The group then moved on to the Mihara Garden Footrace, with the children dashing energetically across the greenery of the grounds.

【Activity 2: Mealtime, the Highlight of the Day】
The menu this time featured nagashi somen, noodles sent flowing down a length of split bamboo. Cheers filled the venue as the children stretched out their chopsticks to catch the noodles as they passed. Shaved ice and other treats were also served, making for a refreshingly summery interlude.
